What Does a General Cashier Do?
As a General Cashier, your job is to handle all the hotel’s cash transactions. This role needs someone who’s organized, pays attention to detail, and loves providing top-notch service. You’ll work closely with the Finance team to make sure everything is accurate and runs smoothly.

What Will You Do?
Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Manage cash with care and avoid mistakes.
- Collect daily cash deposits from different departments in the hotel.
- Check and count all cash received, making sure it matches the records.
- Deposit the daily collections into the hotel’s bank account the next day.
- Solve any cash issues and report them to the Finance team.
- Ensure all cashiers have enough change during their shifts.
- Prepare daily reports about cash transactions for the Finance team.
- Update daily exchange rates for foreign currencies.
- Handle petty cash and make sure records are correct.
- Do surprise checks on cashiers to make sure everything is in order.
- Help train cashiers on how to handle cash properly.
- Assist the Finance team with other tasks when needed.
What Skills Do You Need?
To apply for this job, you need:
- High school education or higher.
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality or Accounting is a bonus.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar job.
- Familiarity with systems like Opera, Micros, or SUN System.
- Strong attention to detail and good math skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- The ability to follow company rules and handle cash responsibly.
