The US ranks sixth on the list of the most influential passports in the world. However, the United States passport ranked sixth in the Henley Passport Index for the first quarter of this year, as its passport allows the holder visa-free entry to 186 countries around the world.
But, this index ranks the passports of the countries of the world, taking into account the freedom of movement in them, according to authentic report. However, report said the US ranks sixth on the list of the most influential passports in the world.
In this regard, a report published by Henley & Partners showed that the US passport has partially regained its former strength after falling to eighth place in 2020, the lowest place that this country has held in the 17-year history of the index.
However, Henley & Partners CEO Juerg Steffen stressed that opening up migration channels is compulsory for post-pandemic recovery.
“Many investment migration programs include the ability to invest in real estate in exchange for a residence permit or citizenship. Investors get larger real estate with increased value, as well as the ability to live in a new country and move more freely. It will be extremely valuable during times of unrest,” said he about it.
Countries with established programs have taken advantage of alternative revenue streams during the current corona virus-fuelled crisis, he said, adding that governments are adjusting their policies to allow international investors to more easily adjust to both income and winning competitive races and talent in 2022.
The Henley Passport Index ranks Japanese and Singaporean passports in first place, giving their holders visa-free access to a total of 192 destinations. This shows that Germany and South Korea are in second place, while the states’ passports allow their holders to travel to a total of 190 destinations without visas. Third place is shared by the following countries, whose passports have a visa-free regime/visa on arrival 189 points:
1. Finland
2. Italy
3. Luxembourg
4. Spain
In addition, the ranking shows that the following European countries are in third place. However, their passports allow their holders to visit a total of 188 countries without having to apply for a visa first:
1. Austria
2. Denmark
3. France
4. Netherlands
5. Sweden
A recent publication by Henley Passport shows that while European countries are number one. Their passports give travelers access to more destinations. In sixth place are holders of passports from Ireland and Portugal. All persons holding valid passports from these two countries are allowed to visit 187 countries. Without the need to apply for a visa first.
