However, there are few basic conditions which must be fulfill by the employees before doing this.
Saudi Arabia is the prime destination of expats and it offers different types of jobs. However, this country has some strict rules regarding overseas employees. Initially the overseas worker does not change his employer or company in which he first appointed. In case if he wants to change his company or employer, then he needs new work visa of this country. So, the new work visa need expenditures.
In start it was a rule to serve your first employee at least for one year. Currently, he has an option to change his employer or company without waiting for one year service. However, there are few basic conditions which must be fulfilled by the overseas worker. Once the foreign worker completes those conditions, then he can change his employer without waiting one year restriction.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Saudi Arabia made some amendments in labor law of this country.
The amended regulation stated that valid permission is required from the present employer for the transfer of worker from one employer to another. Moreover, it is not a violation of the conditions discuss in the Nitaqat Saudization program for the private sector. Minister Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi approved amended labor law.
The labor law of Saudi Arabia allows the overseas worker to transfer his services. After spending twelve months in his first employer. The period will be counted from the entry of employee in this country.
According to the new amendments and provisions of the Nitaqat stimulus program an overseas worker can transfer his services to another employer without require the specific period.
The second amendment in paragraph 7 of item 2 of Article 14 to the effect that. “The overseas worker has the right to change his services to another employer upon the maturity of the period of the documented work contract without the permission of the present employer.”
The third amendment paragraph number, 21 to item 2 of Article 14, stated. “With view to the provisions of Article 77 of the Labor Law, the overseas worker may transfer his service to another employer without requiring the approval of the present employer when he fulfill all required terms”.
The overseas worker must inform the present employer. About his transfer of employer at least 90 days prior to mature his contract, unless the two parties agree otherwise.
Expats can switch jobs in Saudi Arabia easily

According to the provisions of Article 77 of the Labor Law an expat can change his services to another employer without the permission of the present employer if he fulfills the required conditions.
